On 1 May 2025, Simone Marquart and Julia Item will succeed Corinna Adler as co-managing directors of the USZ Foundation. Marquart and Item are a well-established management team that has worked together successfully since 2021.
- Simone Marquart has headed the Wilhelm Schulthess Foundation since 2021. Before that she had management roles in corporate development, marketing, and communications at Schulthess Klinik in Zurich.
- Julia Item has headed the research management team at Schulthess Klinik in Zurich since 2019. She is responsible for communicating on research and coordinates the interfaces between research, management, and medical staff.
Until the two new co-managing directors take up their posts, foundation expert Amina Chaudri, who has already supported the USZ Foundation with strategy development, will act as interim director.
