Congratulations from the USZ Foundation to USZ start-up OBaris on its successful disposal! The foundation supported the innovative start-up via the USZ Health Innovation Hub. The exit marks the first time that the philanthropic funding loop – the USZ Foundation’s entrepreneurial support model – has come into play.
On 1 May 2025, Simone Marquart and Julia Item will succeed Corinna Adler as co-managing directors of the USZ Foundation. Marquart and Item are a well-established management team that has worked together successfully since 2021.
We’re delighted to announce a new entrepreneurial funding model that will extend the support options available to the USZ Foundation. It will create a philanthropic funding loop facilitating even more medical innovations that improve people’s quality of life.
Professor Dr. med. Brigitte Leeners has been elected to the USZ Foundation Board of Trustees with effect 23 September 2024. For the last four years, the gynecologist and reproductive medicine specialist has directed University Hospital Zurich’s Department of Reproductive Endocrinology, having held various positions there, most recently Head of Clinical Research, since 2003.
