It will create a philanthropic funding loop facilitating even more medical innovations that improve people\u2019s quality of life.<\/p>\n<h5>How the philanthropic funding loop works<\/h5>\n<p>The USZ Foundation and its supporting partners grant loans to fund early-stage USZ start-ups via the USZ Health Innovation Hub at a point where profit-oriented investors are not yet prepared to get involved. If the start-up is a commercial success, earnings flow back to the USZ Foundation and are subsequently used to fund more medical innovations that benefit patients.
