Marquart and Item are a well-established management team that has worked together successfully since 2021.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Simone Marquart<\/strong> has headed the Wilhelm Schulthess Foundation since 2021. Before that she had management roles in corporate development, marketing, and communications at Schulthess Klinik in Zurich.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Julia Item<\/strong> has headed the research management team at Schulthess Klinik in Zurich since 2019. She is responsible for communicating on research and coordinates the interfaces between research, management, and medical staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Until the two new co-managing directors take up their posts, foundation expert Amina Chaudri, who has already supported the USZ Foundation with strategy development, will act as interim director.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re delighted to have Simon and Julia on board as our new co-managing directors. With their experience and complementary expertise in the foundation and healthcare sector, research, and fundraising, they\u2019re the ideal match for our mission of facilitating medical innovations that have a direct impact on the lives of patients.
