Freedom to pursue the best ideas: 2021 annual report

A researcher makes it possible to diagnose kidney cancer more precisely. An ophthalmologist aims to improve care for those with vision impairment. It’s these innovative people at University Hospital Zurich who are developing the medicine of tomorrow. Many outstanding ideas are simply waiting to be put into practice.

Donors to the USZ Foundation help make it all happen. Thanks to your support we’ve already been able to give more than 100 projects the freedom to pursue their groundbreaking ideas. They include engineer Andreas Güntner (photo), whose idea is to develop and realize a novel method of detecting disease in exhaled breath.

Read our 2021 annual report to find out what this freedom is making possible. Be inspired by the staff of USZ and their passion for giving all of us a better quality of life.
