The USZ Foundation is currently supporting more than 60 innovative projects at USZ. In the 2020 annual report we look back on a special year of solidarity.
Thanks to a growing number of donors, the USZ Foundation can continually support more projects at University Hospital Zurich. In particular, last year were able to enter into numerous new cooperations with other foundations. Now there are a number of foundations and other donors joining forces to fund large interdisciplinary projects, for example projects on novel immune therapies and the optimal treatment of brain metastases.
USZ has experienced a wave of solidarity in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. Many people have contacted our foundation wanting to support the hospital. For this reason, in spring 2020 USZ Foundation established the USZ Corona Solidarity Fund. So far this has attracted gifts of around CHF 1 million. These funds are used to take the strain off USZ staff, improve the treatment of COVID-19 patients, and enable research.
